This totally refurbished office/workshop is just under half of a timber framed building, which was at one time, used as a World War One soldiers’ ward. The building was previously used as a store for the building firm H & E Waters. It is one of a complex of buildings known as Highgate Works where there are brand new buildings to rent from time to time, and also renovated older buildings like this one.

DEPOSIT A deposit of £600 is returned if at the end of any agreement the premises are returned in the same decorative condition as at the start of the term.

ELECTRICITY is supplied by E-ON at the rate of 10.996 pence per kilowatt hour (includes “climate change levy”or CCL).  Normal daily standing charge is levied @ 15.65p per day.  Electricity is  measured on a meter (numbered 15) to the right of the room which represents exact units consumed.
WASTE COLLECTION: £4 pays for one quarter of a 1100 litre green waste bin on wheels.  This is more economical than renting a small bin from Wealden Council. 
TOILETS: There are no toilets in the building.  Rental includes use of communal toilets a short distance away at Highgate Works for Men and Women which are cleaned daily.  Consumables are replaced as required.
HEATING: There is no heating in the building.  A couple of electric stand-alone oil-fired heaters will be required.
